Medals UK were commissioned to create the BEARS Presidential Award Medals for BASICS Essex Accident Rescue Service (BEARS). BEARS is an emergency medical charity that provides equipment and supports doctors, nurses and paramedics, enabling them to respond to critically ill or injured patients in the pre-hospital environment. The custom made medals were created when the Honorary President decided to award three of their emergency medics with medals for their exceptional contribution.
The commemorative medals were created for the first ever Presidential Award Ceremony in 2016 in bronze, they feature a semi-proof minted finish and measure 50mm in diameter.
